Top 3 favourite Disney cartoons Although almost all of the Disney movies are really horrible (raping works of art like Jungle Book, Hamlet, The Thief and the Cobbler, Alice in Wonderland, Oliver, Sleeping Beaty, etc.), there are a few good ones. Comparable to some gems to be found in the shit that is top 40 music. 1. The Rescuers Down Under An original story with amazing animation. This is probably the last cartoon Disney brought out that was actually good. 2. Lion King 1½ Instead of going the Aladdin road with a multitude of shitty sequels, this cartoon is a parody on the original Lion King. Awesome. 3. The Black Cauldron A fantasy story that doesn't make you feel all fuzzy like the rest of Disney cartoons. Worth watching.
My favorite Disney movie was Anastasia. I mean seriously that was like.. omg. EDIT: Oh wait that was Fox's first animated movie. my bad. So I guess my favorite would be their dub of Ghibli's "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind".
The only thing I have had with Disney besides when I was a kid. Was kingdom hearts and even then I hated the Disney characters.
What's it with people telling they don't watch Disney cartoons if that is not even part of the question? The question is: What's your top 3 favourite Disney cartoons? Noone gives a flying fuck if you only look at porn, don't bother posting. My favourites in no particular order: - Hercules - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (Omfg I'm gonna download and watch that now.) - Bambi Other favourite Disney cartoons: - Mulan - Pinocchio - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Re: Re: Top 3 favourite Disney cartoons Hercules: boring love story with too many pop culture references. Winnie the Pooh: actually not that bad. Too bad Disney raped that bear and the authors' remains in the new series. Bambi: a movie based around deers having sex. Also the mom deer dying gave a lot of kids PTSD. Mulan: I didn't think it was possible for Disney to draw Chinese people in a non-stereotypical fashion (see City Wok from South Park for an example, can't think of Disney ones, but they definitely exist). So I was surprised, it's like an oriental GI Jane. Pinocchio: the original story was about dealing with poverty, and Pinocchio wasn't a role model boy. It's a trade mark of Disney to turn original stories into worlds where everyone is on Prozac. The Disney cartoon is filled with New Age references, which makes watching it more understandable if you get it. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: the fairy tale is based on true stories. If a king wanted a younger child to be the successor, he would send the oldest to live off in a forest somewhere.
