Adventure update

I'm sure ya'll are eager to play 1.8 on the Minecraft server

However, I'm still waiting for the update for the server files to come out.
I'll announce in this thread when it's ready.

I wouldn't update too soon though, I heard 1.8 is full of bugs. Also, mobs like Cows, Sheep and Pigs won't respawn unless you venture further into the lands, which kinda sucks because they haven't introduced animal breeding yet :\ (although it might be a bug as well)

1.8 is really buggy. I'm waiting for the Bukkit update, it should fix lots of bugs.

For example, there were bugs in some servers that jumping would kick a player because jumping was seen as flying (therefore hacking) by the server, changing video settings by a client causing an exception in the servers' JAVA VM, weird cliffs when porting a world from 1.7.3 to 1.8, punching while in bed before the sun rises will break the bed, etc.

So yeah, please be patient, the server will be updated as soon as possible. I'm not interested in starting a whole new world. I'll manually place buildings from our current map in a new map if I have to.

Ohh and if you only want to play SP for Creative mode, go ahead it's not buggy

 

I tested the new Minecraft server files with our current world, and 1.8 still overwrites everything (all buildings gone, etc.).

So I'm still waiting for the final bug-free server files. I don't want to lose all our stuff.

It is updated to 1.8.1!

There is still a bug that hasn't been fixed:

• Opening a chest that is next to a crafting table crashes the server.

Do not open those chests, and consider placing them in a more safe spot.
If the server crashed, contact me or Gravity Cat. Also, if you find more bugs, post them here.
