It annoys the fuck out of me when someone makes handy dandy software and makes it closed source, or in shitty languages like C#. Do you actually mean open source, or just free software? Open source isn't of any extended use to anyone who claims to be an avid Linux user yet can't be bothered to compile anything from source, let alone do anything else with it. Also: the biggest problem with C# is the .net framework, not the language itself - which is better than other interpreted languages like Java or Python. While I'm here I may as well throw XBMC and MeGUI into the ring.
Open source means distro specific packages can be made. This means that your handy dandy tool can be included in distro repositories. That's why open source is important to everyone. Also, I don't mind compiling from source, just don't have your own shitty manual. If I have to read a manual for every piece of software I want to compile, I'd be reading more manuals than drinking coffee during compilation. @Ralfam: Yep, it is open source. My mistake.
Reading manuals is good. Reading manuals makes us wise. Besides the more manuals you read now the less you'll have to read later, as I'm sure you'll find common practices shared between projects, meaning you'll have already learned what you need to know after the first 10 manuals when it comes to reading manual 11.
Still using µTorrent? It's filled with advertisements and it's getting worse every version. So remove µTorrent, and use qBittorrent from now on.
